before your care

how is this care different?

affordable, self pay, quality care. long visits, no wait.

I choose to focus on providing quality care to the disproportionate number of uninsured, underinsured, and underserved women here in the Deep South with limited access to quality medical services by offering affordable concierge gynecology care. My rates are less than a good massage.

I only offer self pay (cash or credit cards) visits to make care accessible and affordable - it is extremely likely my services are cheaper out of pocket than using insurance and way more convenient (after hassling over your copay, deductibles, and the bill you unexpectedly got 4 months after a visit where labs/visit wasn’t covered by your plan with in-network providers). No surprise charges here. By offering longer visits (30 min-2hr),  a deeper level of care and support to nurture growth, and comprehensive integrative healthcare, I can make a difference in your life, affordably.

In my 15+ years of offering a concierge, self pay only practice, all my clients have found whatever they had to pay out of pocket was well worth it for the quality of care they received.

As a licensed healthcare provider, I can still give you a superbill to file with your insurance and accept HSAs..

I have chosen to not be in-network with insurance companies (concierge self pay practice) so I can charge less for care while providing higher quality care with far longer and more comprehensive visits, covering more in each visit than insurance would allow, with a shorter wait time, and ensure that you always see a provider - no nurse, tech, or someone else unexpectedly at your visit.

  • Your visit with GeorgAnna is private and confidential - no tech, no assistant, just 1:1 quality care.

  • Easily scheduled appointments within 2 weeks, no wait to be seen, even for new patients.

  • No prior authorizations, no denied services, no surprise charges.

  • Faster results in fewer but deeper more comprehensive sessions where you are heard.

  • Visits are in my healing oasis, or virtually - your preference.

can I get reimbursed from insurance?

I choose not to support the extortion and destruction of quality healthcare in America that is happening with insurance mandates, so I charge less while offering more per visit than almost all insurance companies will bill you (after co-pay and the surprise bill you often get 4 months after an appointment denying or only partly covering even basic services). I can provide you with a self claim to send in for reimbursement or application to deductible. My services are worth this, while you also likely pay less out of pocket, have longer more comprehensive visits, and get more out of my care than the traditional model care.

what is the care like?

Care with (re)birth is comfortable, tailored to your needs and concerns, respectful, gentle, and relaxed with an emphasis on wellness, education, and informed decisions. Wellness is approached holistically incorporating the spectrum of your life with an emphasis on natural approaches including food as medicine, lifestyle, exercise, hydration, herbs, touch, and alternative healthcare modalities.

Exams are done gently and you are encouraged to guide the pace. I specialize in working with young women who have never had an exam, neurodivergent, those with special needs, intellectual disabilities, and women who have histories of being touched inappropriately, so I encourage you to inform me of any relevant history so I can gently help you in your healing journey as it intersects your intimate healthcare needs.

midwifery care vs mainstream medical care

Midwifery is the thought to be the oldest profession in the world, generating a wealth of ancestral knowledge. Midwives as licensed, credentialed healthcare providers have a reputation for providing high touch care (a skill being lost in today’s busy world) that is more comprehensive and affordable, with a focus on patient education and involving you in the decision making process. You are expected to be an active participant and make informed decisions about your care, as well as be involved in the education provided. Being an involved partner in your own care means that many topics are discussed at visits, multiple options are presented, and you only do the tests, screenings, and lab work that you feel comfortable with. Questions are encouraged and addressed at each and every visit, which is longer and encompasses your entire being.
