I blend my 20+ years experience as a homebirth, birth center, and hospital midwife (CNM/CPM) to offer you doula and monitrice services - this includes cervical exams (so you know where you are in labor), fetal heart rate monitoring (to keep baby safe), labor support, all the offerings listed below in 2 prenatal care/birth prep visits, as well as a lactation support/postpartum visit from a provider with a wealth of experience so you can have the birth you want.

pregnancy support and birth preparation:

Birth prep bodywork - Ideal for first time mothers as well as women who have experienced previous birth trauma and are birthing again but have fear. Together we will brainstorm your birth goals, troubleshoot your birth plan using my experience working in local hospitals to make it more realistic (please bring a completed draft), use perineal massage to tone or release fear and tension from the pelvic floor to promote a successful vaginal birth, facilitate releasing fear around birth and motherhood so your body can open to birthing. I will encourage you to continue these exercises at home. Your partner is welcome to attend as well, to more fully support you and your motherhood journey. Investment: $100. No previous initial visit required for this 50 minute session. Please bring a robe.

baby position assessment and correction, in utero (optimal fetal positioning) - I use traditional midwifery hand techniques (Leopold’s maneuvers) to map your baby within your belly so you can know their position, guide you through exercises to rotate into and maintain the baby in an optimal position for birth (occiput anterior), and perform rebozo sifting if indicated to foster a more comfortable pregnancy and birth, prevent painful back labor, and reduce the chances of failure to progress in labor and a cesarean delivery. Let my hands nourish you and help nudge your baby into a favorable position for birth.
